On Friday 4th July, Key Stage 1 were very excited to visit Saltburn-by-the-Sea as part of our curriculum topic about The Seaside. We started our visit with lunch and an ice cream on the beach. We then walked along the pier, which is the last pier remaining in Yorkshire, and discussed the human and physical features of the coastline. We also had the chance to play some beach games, kindly organised by Mr Raine, before we spent some time building sandcastles, playing in the sand and paddling in the sea. We had such a lovely day!
