The children in Key Stage 2 also took part in a “what’s my line” virtual event organised by Primary Futures. They asked questions to try and discover each of the volunteers’ job roles, then asked them questions to find out more about what they did. The volunteers were a Sports Performance Scientist, Innovative Designer for the NHS, Confidence Coach and an Artist.
The children loved asking questions to discover their occupations and considered things such as if they wore a uniform or if they worked with children. They also discovered who needed a degree or special qualification for their role.
All of the job roles were jobs which the children had not heard of before. They learnt about what made their role exciting and also were given words of wisdom from each volunteer like believe it and you will, be expressive and be curious.
