As a parent, you will have understandable road safety concerns for your child which are likely to change as your child gets older. Road crashes are the biggest cause of death among 5-25 year-olds. But there are key steps we can all take to help protect your child.

Our children in Years 1, 2 and 4 took part in Pedestrian training last week. They all went in small groups onto the pavement near school and learnt how to cross the road safety.  As I know you all appreciate, this is such an important skill for our children to learn. We ask that you please reinforce this learning with your children every time they cross the road with you and ask them to recall what they have been taught. A couple of minutes going through the vital steps of stop, look, listen and think at the roadside could save their life one day.  Children in Nursery, Reception and Year 3 took part in workshops on road safety within the classroom. Here are some photos of our youngest children learning how to cross the road safety.
