To launch our UKS2 Creative Curriculum ‘Raging Rivers’, all pupils in UKS2 took part in a carousel of activities. With Miss Dunderdale, the pupils began their exploration of landscape art with a focus on shade, reflections and shadows. During Miss Smith’s session, the pupils learnt the importance of clean water and how to make filters using naturally available resources that could be used at the time of flooding or a natural disaster in remote areas. Through group planning and budgeting with Miss Gartshore and Miss Marshall, pupils designed buildings that would help reduce the devastating effect of flooding.
