I am Katy Long and I have worked across three primary academies within The GORSE Academies Trust. I joined Hillcrest Academy in 2016 and it was there I became fully invested in the vision of the trust. From there I worked at Morley Newlands Academy where I led the Year 1 team. After two and a half years at Morley Newlands, I was given the fantastic opportunity to move to Ryecroft Academy. I am now one of the Assistant Principals here at Ryecroft and I am responsible for teaching and learning, assessment, pupil premium and the leadership of Lower Key Stage 2. I am very passionate about education and I want to make a difference to the lives of young people. Working at Ryecroft is amazing every day, but what I enjoy most is seeing our wondering children smile and thrive within the classroom.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, going on outdoor adventures and travelling to new places.
